A Cars, Bikes and Coffee Show at the American Honda Collection Hall
Every other month, American Honda Motor Company opens the American Honda Collection Hall in Torrance, CA for a special cars and coffee event
A big void was left after Toyota Motor North America moved out of Torrance, and with it the closure of the Toyota USA Automobile Museum. Thankfully, Torrance remains the headquarters of the other automotive giant, American Honda Motor Company.
The closure of the museum did not go unnoticed. And so just over a year ago, Honda officially opened the American Honda Collection Hall to the public. The new collection hall is arguably even more comprehensive than the former museum, as it houses Honda’s history with motorcycles and motorbikes.
For the bimonthly Cars, Bikes and Coffee Show, Honda encourages visitors to drive or ride their own interesting vehicle or motorcycle of any brand or era to display while enjoying the museum and event activities. Although the show attracts the full spectrum of unique cars and bikes, the rides brought in by the region’s Honda enthusiasts are particularly noteworthy.

Cars and Coffee with a Theme
Each show has a theme and includes special displays, exhibitors, vendors, music, food trucks, giveaways, a store and café. For the April 5th show, the theme was racing, celebrating all forms of auto and bike racing. It also served as a kick-off celebration for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

“The American Honda Collection Hall showcases products that highlight the success of Honda in America that began in Southern California in 1959,” said Carl C. Pulley of Honda Heritage Public Relations. “We invite you to immerse yourself in the Honda story through historical, current, and future products, all fueled by the Power of Dreams.”
The Schedule Through 2025
Honda puts earnest effort into the themes for each show. For the April show celebrating racing, they brought out Formula 1 racers, promotion for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, and even racing trucks. The Cars, Bikes and Coffee Show is 9:00 am through 12 noon. Here’s what the schedule looks like through the end of the year:
June 21 (Summer’s Here! – car and bike fun in the sun)
August 16 (Heritage & Museums – a showcase of SoCal car and bike museums and vintage models)
October 18 (Customization – highlighting accessories, modifications, and personalization)
December 13 (Clubs & Community – celebrating car and bike enthusiast groups and giving back to the community)
Location and Parking
The American Honda Collection Hall is in the lobby of Honda's U.S. headquarters. “We welcome visitors to attend free of charge during public Cars, Bikes & Coffee Shows, says Pulley. The Hall is not open on other weekends but is on weekdays during regular work hours.
