DUI Checkpoint Scheduled For Friday In The South Bay
Authorities say the checkpoint will be held somewhere in Carson from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Deputies will hold a DUI checkpoint Friday, Sept. 5, in Carson to deter drunk and impaired drivers, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
It's unclear exactly where the location will take place. Locations for these checkpoints are determined based on data collected by authorities, which reveals where in the city crashes involving drunk or impaired drivers are most common. The checkpoint will be held sometime from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Authorities added that aside from drunk drivers, deputies will be looking for anyone who may be operating their vehicle while under the influence of marijuana, prescription medication and over-the-counter drugs.
