The Holiday Goings-On at Terranea

Terranea Resort, A Destination Hotel, presents its annual holiday Traditions. In celebration of the resort’s Fifth Anniversary, this year’s festivities will include a range of new and seasonal activities, special holiday feasts and exclusive offers for accommodations, spa, golf and more. Terranea Traditions begins Thanksgiving and runs through New Year’s, bringing fun and cheer throughout the entire holiday season.

Below is a glimpse of the spirited events and experiences guests can enjoy during Traditions.

Festive Activities for All Ages:

• Biscotti Paired Wine Tastings - New for the holidays, Terranea will be introducing a special biscotti and wine pairing experience. A variety of four different house-made biscotti, infused with herbs, honey, and other ingredients foraged from Terranea’s own gardens, such as Meyer lemon, sea salt, lavender and more, will be offered and expertly paired with select wines. The biscotti and wine tasting will be available at the Lobby Bar starting Dec. 1, 2014 and priced at $32.

• Elf Tuck-Ins - Add to your little one’s holiday excitement with a special visit from Terranea’s elves. Guests staying throughout the holidays can enjoy personal elf tuck-ins complete with sweet treats and a bedtime story. Pricing for an elf tuck-in is $25 per child.

• Junior Golf Holiday Camp - Terranea is opening up its popular junior golf camp for the holidays. Junior golfers can have some holiday fun at The Links at Terranea with putting, chipping, pitching and full swing lessons from the resort’s PGA Professional staff. The camp covers swing fundamentals, rules and etiquette, and athletic development, and will be offered for children ages 8 to 12, between Dec. 21- 24, 2014. Priced at $22 per child.

• More Holiday Fun for Kids - Traditions offers entertaining programs daily for kids, including Gingerbread Sandcastle Building, Thankful Crafting, S’mores and Stories by the Fire, Postcards to the North Pole, The Little Elf’s Workshop and more.

Holiday Dining and Feasts

Throughout Traditions, guests at Terranea can experience and indulge in a range of festive fine dining and casual meals from family-style Thanksgiving feasts and Christmas Eve Buffets, to Breakfast with Santa and New Year’s Day Brunches. Additional dining options are available to fit all types of celebrations with specialty food stations, in-room meals for a quiet holiday dinner or large family gatherings in a Casita or Villa, or to-go menus for a full holiday spread that is fully cooked and ready to enjoy. Guests are also invited to experience the new holiday menus at Terranea’s signature restaurant, mar’sel, created by new Chef de Cuisine Charles Olalia. Menus include delectable dishes like caramelized duck breast, slow roasted prime rib and a traditional bûche de Noël for dessert.
