Man Found Dead Below San Pedro Cliff
Los Angeles firefighters sought to rescue a man who appeared to be stranded below a San Pedro cliff Tuesday afternoon, but he was dead.

SAN PEDRO, CA — Los Angeles firefighters attempted to rescue a man who appeared to be stuck below a cliff in San Pedro Tuesday afternoon, but discovered he was already dead when they got to him.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded around 2:22 p.m. to a medical aid call in the 1000 block of West Paseo Del Mar near Sunken City, where they found the man on some rocks below the cliff, according to authorities.
The man appeared to be dead, and the incident was upgraded to a cliff rescue, the LAFD said. It's unclear how the man, who authorities described only as a 29-year-old, got there.

The LAFD Air Ops, according to authorities, was working to bring the body up as of 3:22 p.m.
