Palos Verdes School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, More

PALOS VERDES, CA — The first day of school in Palos Verdes is August 22 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Palos Verdes School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/19 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/4 - 12/6: Parent Teacher Conferences/Early Release (Grades K-5)
• 12/21 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/16 - 1/17: Parent Teacher Conference/Early Release (Grades 6-8)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/25: No School (Staff Development)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/7: Parent Teacher Conference/Early Release (Grades K-5)

April

• 4/1 - 4/5: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/6: Last Day of School
