Palos Verdes School Superintendent Calls Syed Farook 'Average'
Don Austin's cell phone blew up after word spread that the alleged San Bernardino shooter had been a student at his high school.

Don Austin assumes he handed Syed Farook, the 28-year-old who allegedly opened fire on a holiday party Wednesday in San Bernardino, his diploma when Farook was a student at La Sierra High School in Riverside a decade ago when Austin was principal.
The current superintendent of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified District talked with the Daily Breeze about what he remembered of the student and how word of the massacre has made him feel.
