Thousands Of Dollars In Stolen Alcohol Recovered After Police Chase In South Bay
Deputies recovered 36 bottles of stolen alcohol, valued at over $1,000, and a 10-pack of Crispy Chocolate Chip cookies after the pursuit.

LOMITA, CA — The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrested a burglary suspect who led them on a pursuit that ended when he drove into a dead-end street.
Deputies were called to reports of a burglary in Rolling Hills Estates on Wednesday and spotted the suspect vehicle in the area near Crenshaw Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Lomita Station.
The deputies tried to get the suspect to pull, but he refused, leading police on a brief pursuit, according to the LASD.

"After some evasive driving — and a few failed getaway maneuvers — the suspect quite literally ran out of road, speeding straight into a dead-end parking lot," the Lomita Station deputies posted on social media Thursday. "Game over."
The man was taken into custody in connection with the burglary and evading police, according to the LASD.

While searching the man's car, deputies recovered 36 bottles of stolen alcohol, valued at over $1,000, and a 10-pack of Crispy Chocolate Chip cookies, authorities said.
The LASD said the suspect is a 12-time convicted felon, with a criminal record that includes burglary, grand theft and shoplifting.
"Hats off to the dedicated Deputies who made the arrest and reminded everyone that if you're planning to break the law in our cities, make sure your GPS doesn't lead you to a dead-end - literally or legally," deputies said.
