Post a Calendar Event on PV Patch

Have an event you'd like to let people know about? Palos Verdes Patch can help.

Are you organizing a neighborhood yard sale? Maybe you’re on the board of directors at the library and want to share info about an upcoming book club. Or perhaps your child’s home and school association would like to promote a fundraiser.

Readers are invited to post events to the Palos Verdes Patch calendar free of charge. The calendar postings are free for personal and non-commercial purposes.

Follow these steps to post an event:

  • First, create a Palos Verdes Patch account here.
  • Click on the “Events” tab on the home page. Then click "Add an Event."
  • Give your event a descriptive title.
  • Next, move on to the date and time. If your event occurs more than once or is ongoing, check the box labeled "This event happens more than once or is an ongoing event" under the “Time” field. If your event doesn’t have a specific time, or if it has more than one time, you can leave the "Time" field blank. If your event does not occur more than once, you can skip the next step.
  • Now you’re ready to select a location. If your event occurs at a business or organization located in the area covered by Palos Verdes Patch, there’s a good chance it’s in our directory. If your location does appear, you’ll have to type in the address by hand, then select it when it comes up in the list. You can click “Add details” to give your location a name.
  • If you still can’t find your location by entering the address, email meredith.skrzypczak@patch.com.
  • Write your listing description.
  • Add any photos or PDFs. Copyright laws apply. Please only use images you have ownership of.
  • Categorize your event, add more information if necessary, then post your event.

If you have any questions about posting an event, of if you’re experiencing problems, email Editor Meredith Skrzypczak at meredith.skrzypczak@patch.com.
