Crash Closes Palos Verdes Drive East
One person was thrown 60 feet from his or her vehicle in the collision, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Palos Verdes Drive East in Rancho Palos Verdes was closed in both directions about 1,000 feet north of Palos Verdes Drive South on Monday morning after a two-car collision, authorities said.
The road was closed through the afternoon, officials said. Maintenance crews from RPV assisted with cleanup.
Two people were injured in the collision, which occurred at about 9:30 a.m., and transported to an area hospital, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Scott Miller.

Though one person suffered a minor injury, the second was thrown about 60 feet from the vehicle and suffered a serious leg injury, Miller said.
A call to the Lomita Sheriff's Station for more information was not immediately returned.
