Happy Wednesday! Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know today:

Today is the filing deadline for positions on the Rolling Hills Estates City Council, the Palos Verdes Library District, and the Ridgecrest Ranchos and Miraleste recreation and park districts. The election will be held Nov. 5.
The city of Rancho Palos Verdes Recreation and Parks Department and the PVLD will host their regular Little Critter Afternoon Tales at Hesse Park from 1-2 p.m.
