Speed Limit to Increase on PVDW
The speed limit increase comes after Palos Verdes Estates commissioned a traffic study of the area.

The speed limit on a portion of Palos Verdes Drive West will increase from 30 mph to 35 mph, according to a notice in the Palos Verdes Estates city newsletter.
The affected portion of Palos Verdes Drive West is between the city's southern border and Paseo Lunado.
The new speed limit matches the 35 mph limit found elsewhere on Palos Verdes Drive West and Palos Verdes Drive North in Palos Verdes Estates.

The recommendation for the increased speed limit was issued after the city commissioned a traffic study required by the California Vehicle Code. Under the CVC, municipalities must conduct traffic studies on streets before local police can use radar technology to enforce the posted speed limit.
