'A Special Place:' Top-Ranked Private School In RPV To Offer Free Tour

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — One of California's top-ranked private schools will be offering families the opportunity to explore its facilities and learn about its curriculum later this month.

Christ Lutheran School in Rancho Palos Verdes will be hosting "Admissions Day" from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, on its campus, located at 28850 S. Western Ave.

The event, which is free for families to attend, will offer the "unique" opportunity to tour classrooms, learn about the school's Christ-centered curriculum, explore extracurricular programs and ask questions about tuition assistance and the admissions process, according to school officials.

“We are committed to partnering with families to help students grow in wisdom, faith, and character,” Charlene Soon, Principal of Christ Lutheran School, said in a statement Wednesday. “This event allows families to experience firsthand what makes our school a special place to learn and grow.”

New families touring the facilities will be entered for a chance to win free registration for the 2025/2026 academic year, school officials said.

Christ Lutheran School, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, is a private Christian School, serving preschool through eighth grade students.

It ranks among the top 20% of private schools in California, according to Private School Review, a platform providing detailed profiles and reviews of private schools since 2003.

Christ Lutheran School has an average of 22 students per class and has multiple sports options for students, including soccer, basketball and volleyball.
