Torrance Police: Avoid 190th Street on Tuesday

Drivers should be aware of possible delays along 190th Street in Torrance on Tuesday morning, according to local police.

As crews from Southern California Edison wrap up repairs on the downed power line that caused Sunday's massive blackout, drivers are asked to avoid 190th Street between Crenshaw Boulevard and Van Ness Avenue through 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to an alert from the Torrance Police Department.

"This is in response to (Monday) morning's extended delays from vehicles exiting the freeway from 190th/Western and 182nd/Crenshaw," according to the alert.

Two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of traffic will be open, police said.

CalTrans planned to post messages on its stationary sign boards along the 405, 105 and 110 freeways to warn drivers of the possible delays on 190th Street.
