Reverend Bill Carpenter is a Licensed Minister with Centers for Spiritual Living and was recently elected to lead as Senior Minister for PNTC. Rev. Bill is dedicated to spiritual growth, service, and the practical application of New Thought principles. He earned his Practitioner license in 2014 and graduated from Holmes Institute in 2024, culminating in his licensure as a Minister in 2025. His journey into ministry is rooted in a lifelong commitment to personal transformation, recovery, and service to others. He became a certified chemical dependency counselor in 1998, drawing from his own long-standing commitment to recovery. “I am honored to fulfill the role of Senior Minister at this historic and respected spiritual Center,” said Rev. William Carpenter. “The goodness of Spirit lives within each of us at all times. Allowing us to transcend any situation and bring forth a greater expression of that goodness and love."

Rev. Carpenter’s ministry is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and a deep belief in the transformative power of spiritual principles. His work reflects a synthesis of real-life experience and spiritual depth, making him a relatable and impactful presence in the communities he serves.

“Reverend Bill Carpenter is arriving at PNTC at a time when both our immediate community and society at large are hungry for healing and connection. We feel he is the perfect spiritual leader to introduce New Thought to those who may not be familiar with it, as well as to assist those who are, with deepening their knowledge and utilization of New Thought/Ancient Wisdom principles in their lives,” said Jill Sutherland, board president. “In addition, our Center is excited to host Compassionate Pasadena Exploration Day on November 8, 2025. Compassionate California’s belief that “Compassion is at the heart of peace and harmony” is shared by PNTC and we look forward to being an integral component in the development of Pasadena as a Compassionate City.”
