Woman Killed In Pasadena Hit And Run
A 27-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by an SUV as she crossed the street Sunday evening on Fair Oaks Avenue .

PASADENA, CA — Pasadena police Monday investigated the death of a woman who was struck by a hit-and-run driver as she crossed a street.
The crash was about 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Fair Oaks Avenue just north of Claremont Street, Pasadena police Lt. Max Dahlstein told City News Service.
The 27-year-old woman died at the scene, police said. Her name was withheld pending family notification.

The woman was crossing the street when she was hit and there was no crosswalk at the location, Dahlstein said.
The driver fled north Fair Oaks Avenue after the crash. The vehicle was described only as a white SUV.

The crash shut down Fair Oaks Avenue from Claremont Street to Washington Boulevard, Pasadena police report. It was reopened just before 1 a.m. Monday.
