Cocktail Competition, Tasting Aims to Raise Funds for Literacy Programs
Petaluma, Straight Up! will be serving up stiff drinks and lots of fun on Thursday, February 28 at the Petaluma Sheraton
The Sheraton Sonoma County-‐Petaluma will be hosting Straight Up! a fundrasier for North Bay literacy programs on Thursday, Feb. 28.
Charbay, an American Family Distillery and Winery, will be contributing their world-class vodka, and Tolay Restaurant will be donating all food.
Competing restaurants include: Tolay, Tres Hombres, Rocker Oysterfellers, Jack and Tony's, Jackson's, John Ash, Spoon Bar, Jole, Farmstead, Nick’s Cove, and Wild Press Democrat’s Heather Irwin; the Pacific Sun’s Dani Burlison; and The Krush’s Brian Griffith.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in period attire. Straight Up! is presented by Literacyworks, a Petaluma nonporofit offering adult and family literacy programs that are struggling to keep their doors open and their lights on.
Literacyworks’ mission is to provide dynamic resources that support organizations to successfully increase the literacy skills of adults, families and provide this support.
