Drunk Driver Crashes Twice; Civilian Takes Away Keys: Police
The driver's blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit, police said.
PETALUMA, CA — A man was arrested over the holiday weekend after driving with a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit, according to Petaluma police, who said the man was so drunk he got in two crashes and a civilian took away his keys.
The incident occurred Friday evening while police in Petaluma were conducting driving under the influence saturation patrols, authorities said.
Kai Braehmer was in two collisions involving six vehicles before a community member took his keys away, according to police, who said Braehmer was arrested and booked for driving under the influence and violating probation.

Braehmer was one of three people charged with driving while intoxicated in connection with Friday’s patrols, police said.
