SONOMA COUNTY, CA —A wildlife rescue group made a plea for information Friday about the recent discovery of four dead otters on the side of a Sonoma County road.

The otters—all adults— were found earlier this week along Old Adobe Road, between Scott Road And Tunzi Lane, Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue said on social media.

"The circumstances in which they were found were unusual," the group said. "We are working to determine whether they were hit by a car in the area or if they were brought there from another location. We’re asking anyone who may have seen these otters—alive or deceased—to reach out with any information that could help."
