PETALUMA, CA — Officer Jayce Hanson of the Petaluma Police Department has been named Employee of the quarter for his outstanding contributions to public safety and community engagement.

Here's what Hanson accomplished this quarter:

  • Made 300 officer-initiated contacts
  • Made 19 misdemeanor arrests
  • Recovered more than $3,000 in stolen merchandise
  • Administered CPR to help save a man’s life
  • Participated in numerous community and school outreach events

The Petaluma Police Department announced the honor on social media Thursday, congratulating Hanson for his proactive work and dedication to the community.

“Congratulations, Jayce!” the department wrote.
