Petaluma Police Tag Dozens Of Vehicles Over Parking Issues
The operations are focused on abandoned vehicles, expired registrations and other parking-related complaints.

PETALUMA, CA — Nearly three dozen vehicles received 72-hour notices over the last week during parking enforcement operations in the Payran/Lindberg area, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
In a news release, police said the ongoing operation is meant to address abandoned vehicles, parking-related complaints, "daylighting," and vehicles with expired registrations. Another operation is scheduled for Wednesday.
"With some exceptions, the city does not allow abandoned, wrecked, or inoperative vehicles (or their parts) to be stored or to accumulate on private or public property," the department said. "The city has the authority to cite owners and have these vehicles/parts removed when necessary."
