Police in Petaluma are warning downtown merchants about a man allegedly trying to pass counterfeit $50 bills, according to a statement.

PETALUMA - Police in Petaluma are warning downtown merchants about a man allegedly trying to pass counterfeit $50 bills, according to a statement issued Wednesday evening.
He's described as a white man in his 30s with a thin build, roughly 5 feet 10 inches tall, with brown hair and a black "Indian Motorcycles" shirt.
Anyone who sees the suspect is asked to call the Petaluma Police Department at (707) 778-4373.
