Police Respond To Pit Bull Loose In Neighborhood
The situation prompted police to alert residents of a Petaluma neighborhood.
PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Police Department responded to reports of a loose pit bull Monday night.
The "aggressive" pit bull was briefly on the loose in the River Front Homes subdivision at Hopper Street and Caulfield Lane, the police said in a Nixle alert at 8:13 p.m. Monday.
Officers and animal control personnel were working to secure the dog, police said.

The pit bull was located 30 minutes later, and no further precautions were necessary.
