Police To Target Speeders In Petaluma

PETALUMA, CA — Drivers in Petaluma should be particularly careful not to speed as of Tuesday, according to police.

The Petaluma Police Department as part of a national campaign is conducting extra traffic enforcement throughout the city focusing on speeding drivers, the agency said.

"Excessive speed is a leading factor in many serious crashes — and it’s 100% preventable," the department said in a social media post Tuesday. "Slow down. Save lives. Help keep Petaluma safe!"
