Tell us about your experience in the comment section

The new eastern section of the Bay Bridge made its debut for commuters this morning.

The 2.2-mile span opened to the public at 10 p.m. Monday, about four hours after an official chain-cutting ceremony at the toll plaza.

The eastern span took 11 years to built and cost $6.4 billion.

Did you drive across the new bridge today? If so, tell us what you saw and what you thought in the comments section.

If you safely took any photographs, feel free to upload those to this story, too.
