TRAFFIC ALERT: Early I-80 Fatal Crash Closed Lanes, Backed Up Eastbound

UPDATED: CHP says all lanes of I-80 were closed just before 4 a.m. due to a three-car pile-up.

CROCKET, CA- The California Highway Patrol this morning is reporting all lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Crockett have been reopened following a fatal crash.

The crash occurred on the highway at the Cummings Skyway onramp, according to the CHP. The lanes were reported open at 6:37 a.m.

The crash was first reported at 3:22 a.m. The crash involved a big-rig, an ambulance and another vehicle. There was one fatality and other reported injuries, according to

The California Highway Patrol this morning is reporting a fatal crash on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Crockett. The crash occurred on the highway at the Cummings Skyway onramp, according to the CHP.

The CHP has issued a Sig-alert due to the crash and is reporting all eastbound lanes of the highway are currently blocked.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash. The crash was first reported at 3:22 a.m.
