City Seeks Applicants For Grant Committee
There are two open seats for the Mt. Diablo Health Care District Grant Committee.

Applications are now available for residents who would like to apply to serve as a Pleasant Hill representative on the Mt. Diablo Health Care District Grant Committee. The City has two open seats on the Committee, which also includes five representatives from Concord. The Grant Committee was established to review solicited applications and make recommendations to the District’s Board of Directors (the Concord City Council) for granting of tax revenue dollars annually received by the District. The primary purpose of the District is to provide funding for programs and events that address health issues and promote a healthy community.
The Committee will be responsible for the following:
• Preparing recommendations for grant funding priorities and presentation of same to the Mt. Diablo Health Care District’s Board of Directors;

• Reviewing applications for grant funding annually; and
• Making funding recommendations annually to the District’s Board of Directors.

The initial terms of office for the Grant Committee appointees will expire in either June 28, 2013 or June 28, 2014. In subsequent years, appointees will serve for two years.

Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office (100 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523) by Monday, October 1 at 5:00 pm. Applications will be reviewed and interviews conducted in order for the City Council to make the appointments at its meeting on Monday, October 15.
