• Cockpit audio released: Pleasant Hill pilot tried to shut engines off mid-flight (ktvu.com) — A former Alaska Airlines pilot who grew up in Pleasant Hill is heard on newly released cockpit audio and police video after trying to shut down a flight’s engines last year. The recordings capture the crew’s emergency landing request and the pilot’s disoriented comments, and note that he has since been sentenced to time served and community service and barred from aircraft.
