The California Lottery has now identified both winners by name and store location. Winners of such large prizes have limited time to claim them, and only basic identifying details must be made public.

• Pleasant Hill Woman Sentenced to More Than 2 Years in Prison for Embezzling Over $1.6 Million from Charity Serving Young People (contracosta.news) — A Pleasant Hill woman has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for embezzling more than $1.6 million from a Northern California youth-focused charity while serving as its finance manager. Prosecutors say she diverted funds over several years for luxury travel, sports tickets, and a Hawaii condo. She’ll begin serving her sentence in March 2026, with restitution still to be determined.
