Pleasant Hill Woman Dies Of Injuries Sustained In Car Crash
The afternoon collision closed Taylor Boulevard and Ruth Avenue most of the afternoon.

A 92-year-old woman died Wednesday after her car collided with another driver at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Ruth Drive. The woman’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The accident caused officers to close the intersection for most of the afternoon and evening.
According to Sgt. Gary Brown of the Pleasant Hill Police Department, the 92-year-old woman was driving her red Hyundai Elentra on Taylor Boulevard early Wednesday afternoon when she lost control and hit a gold Acura sedan driven by a 19-year-old woman.

The Hyundai then ran into a light pole. The driver was rushed to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, where she died from her injuries.
