• ‘Stranger Things' Series Finale Hits the Big Screen at 20+ Bay Area Theaters (funcheap.com) — Stranger Things fans in Pleasant Hill can catch the two-hour series finale on the big screen at Cinemark Century Downtown Pleasant Hill 16 and XD on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Seats are reserved by buying concession vouchers that fully support participating theaters, and the episode will also stream on Netflix starting December 31 for at-home viewing.
   

• Toll increases at 7 Bay Area bridges beginning Jan. 1 (contracostaherald.com) — Drivers from Pleasant Hill should prepare for a 50-cent toll hike on seven Bay Area bridges starting January 1, 2026, with further annual increases through 2030 and new carpool rules. Pleasant Hill Mayor Sue Noack chairs the Bay Area Toll Authority board overseeing these changes, which will fund bridge maintenance and shift incentives toward FasTrak users. Plan now if you commute across regional bridges.
