Police Arrest Suspect In July iPhone Robbery
The suspect was arrested today (Nov. 6) and is being held on $80,000 bail.

Pleasant Hill police served a warrant on Christopher Hilliard on Tuesday (Nov. 6), in connection with a strong-arm robbery on July 5, in which a woman had her iPhone taken.
According to police, Hilliard was arrested after police served a warrant at his home. Police are also investigating whether Hilliard had an accomplice in the incident, and whether Hilliard was involved in other incidents involving iPhone theft.
On July 5, a woman was standing in front of the cinema on Crescent St. dowtown looking at her iPhone, when a man came up and tried to take it from her. After a brief struggle, the man managed to wrest the phone from her and got into a burgundy Ford Explorer and drove away.

Police said that people should use caution when using their iPhones and other smart phones in public, because they are easily snatched away from users when they are looking at their phones. Thieves then erase the memory and resell the phones.
