Police Nab One Man In Burglary Attempt - Still Seek A Second
A Concord man is in jail after being arrested for suspicion of trying to rob a home on Allen Way Monday afternoon.
Two men were seen trying to break into a home on Allen Way Monday afternoon, but an alert neighbor notified police and, after a brief search, one of the suspects was found in Concord.
According to Pleasant Hill police, 27-year-old Scott Andrew Wright of Concord and another man were seen by a neighbor going through a gate into a rear yard of a residence. The neighbor called police, but meanwhile the homeowner returned and the two men fled in a pickup truck. After a county-wide search, police found the truck and Wright in the Baldwin Park area of Concord. He was identified by witnesses as one of the two suspected burglars. The other suspect remains on the loose.
Wright was arrested and booked into county jail, being held on $50,000 bail. Police are investigating information that they believe will lead them to the second suspect.
