Welcome To Pleasant Hill Patch β€” Let The Conversation Begin!

Allow me to introduce you to Pleasant Hill Patch, a place for community conversation.

Welcome to Pleasant Hill Patch! Our goal is to make your life ridiculously easy by giving you a place to post useful information about where you live. We want Patch to be the place you come to for a conversation with your community, where you check what your friends are up to, what’s going on around town and where the best places are to shop, eat and play.

These days a lot of websites make those kinds of promises, but Patch has proven it knows what it's doing when it comes to local information and commerce. We have 870 Patch sites around the country, including 60 around the Bay Area, including Martinez, Concord, Walnut CreekΒ andΒ Lamorinda.

It's easy. Just sign up for the site (yes, it's free!), subscribe to our newsletter (delivered to your email daily, weekly and/or when news is breaking) and you're ready to go.

If you're looking for a restaurant or service, you can search for it in the directory. And if you're happy with an establishment, post a review or rate it.

If you know of an upcoming event, we have you covered there, as well. Go to the Events section and click β€œAdd An Event.” We often feature public events on our home page and in our newsletter, so be sure to post a photo and/or video. We also host a community photo gallery.

Meet Your Editor

So ? I’ve been a journalist, musician, city hall bureaucrat, parent, PTA president, corporate executive and now Patch editor. The thing is, I’ve done all of this in central Contra Costa. I’ve lived in Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant Hill, and now Martinez.

I love this area β€” the never-ending changes as the seasons turn lush emerald into dazzling gold, as the unrelenting heat gives way to crisp fall mornings, as downtowns new and old compete with The Mall (for us, there’s really only one, right?). Most of all, I love the people. Each of us has a story to tell, a special insight to share. I want to hear yours.

My job is to host this ongoing conversation, to give you my perspective from time to time, to cover the news, and most of all, to hear what you have to say.

And to that end, I am truly excited about being a part of your life, Pleasant Hill. Let the conversation begin!
