PLEASANTON, CA — Tri-Valley residents interested in public safety and law enforcement can watch at TV30 interview with Alameda County Sheriff Ysenia Sanchez. “About the Tri-Valley” host Marshall Kamena will interview Sanchez on topics like Santa Rita Jail - which has seen a host of safety-related lawsuits in recent years and found to be in “dire condition” by a grand jury in 2022 - programs to help inmates after they’re released, and her plans for the future of the sheriff’s department.

The Livermore resident and former Sheriff’s Commander narrowly beat incumbent Gregory Ahern in 2022, becoming the first woman and the first Latina to take control of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

The interview will air Sunday at 5 p.m., Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., and Saturday at 5 p.m. on Channel 30 and livestream at tv30.org. The interview will be available to watch online at any time by clicking on the title icon “About the Tri-Valley.”
