Attempted Carjacking In Pleasanton, Armed Robbery In Sunol: PPD
At-large suspects attempted to carjack a Pleasanton man near his home, and likely committed an armed robbery in Sunol.
PLEASANTON, CA — Authorities are searching for suspects accused of an attempted carjacking in Pleasanton and an armed robbery in Sunol over the weekend, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On Saturday at around 5:25 p.m., a Pleasanton man heard two gunshots around the 300 block of Neal Street. He was then approached by an unidentified man who demanded he surrender the keys to his car. After the man refused to comply, the suspect lifted his shirt and revealed a handgun tucked in his waistband. The man ran into his home, and the suspect ran from the scene with an accomplice.
No one was harmed by the discharged gun, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

Pleasanton officers established a perimeter around the area, and requested assistance from the Livermore Police Department and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. Drones and K-9 units completed an extensive yard-to-yard search of the neighborhood, and nearby Village High School, though no one was found.
Police say they believe the suspects were involved in an armed robbery in Sunol, and Pleasanton police and Alameda County deputies are collaborating to solve the case. Patch reached out to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office for more information.
