Car Crashes Into Pleasanton Restaurant: Police

A car crashed into Hunan Chef Chinese Restaurant on Valley Avenue Saturday.

PLEASANTON, CA — A car cashed into Hunan Chef Chinese Restaurant on 4285 Valley Avenue in Pleasanton Saturday afternoon, according to Pleasanton police and KTVU.

At around 4:21 p.m., police received reports of a solo crash in which a car collided with a local business, Pleasanton Police Department spokesperson Teri Yan told Patch. Video shared with KTVU shows a Toyota RAV-4 partially inside the building.

No serious injuries were reported by the driver, Yan said. No injuries were reported by any of the building occupants, according to KTVU.

Firefighters arrived to check for injuries, clear debris, and temporarily shut off electricity to the building, according to KTVU. The Pleasanton building inspector also inspected the building.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown but remains under investigation.
