Car Flips Over Into Pleasanton Creek, Driver Arrested: PPD
Emergency crews rescued a partially submerged car that had flipped over, and arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.
PLEASANTON, CA — A car flipped over a creek near Stoneridge Drive and Denker Drive in Pleasanton Saturday evening, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On Saturday at around 11 p.m., Pleasanton dispatchers received a call initiated by an iPhone crash detection alert, according to a PPD account. Dispatchers heard someone calling out for help.
Crews from the Pleasanton Police Department and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department searched the area, and eventually found a car flipped over in a creek and partially submerged. Officers approached the car, broke the window, and rescued the driver, who was alone.

Police said that the driver's behavior and other signs indicated that he was drunk. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
