Driver Killed in Fiery I-580 Crash Last Week Identified
The fatal crash was reported on April 27.

PLEASANTON, CA: A man killed in a fiery six-vehicle crash on Interstate Highway 580 in Pleasanton last week was identified as Francisco Alvarez Gomez, a 43-year-old Brentwood resident, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
The crash was reported at 5:55 a.m. on April 27, California Highway Patrol officials said. A big-rig rear-ended a 1999 BMW, which hit a 2001 Acura, which hit a 2005 Ford, which hit a 2016 Nissan, which hit a 2008 Mazda, according to the CHP.
The Acura, Nissan and BMW all caught fire, and Alvarez Gomez was trapped in the BMW.
