Drunk Truck Driver Knocks Over Pleasanton Stoplight: Police

PLEASANTON, CA — A driver was arrested on drunk driving charges after crashing into a Pleasanton traffic light, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

At around 9:05 p.m. Monday, police received reports of a Ford F-150 colliding with a traffic light near Hopyard Road and Black Avenue, according to PPD spokesperson Teri Yan. A photo shows that the truck knocked the stoplight onto the road. The traffic light was operational by Tuesday morning, Yan said.

No serious injuries were reported.

Due to signs and symptoms of intoxication, the unnamed individual was taken to Santa Rita Jail, according to Yan. Their speed was unspecified.
