Brush Fire Contained At Bernal Community Park: LPFD
A small brush fire broke out at the park Wednesday afternoon, according to Pleasanton police and Pulsepoint.
PLEASANTON, CA — A roughly two-acre brush fire broke out Wednesday afternoon on an open field at Bernal Community Park, according to Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Rosa Ramos.
Pleasanton police logged the fire at 3:56 p.m. Wednesday and sent a notification asking the public to avoid the area. Five LPFD crews and two battalion chiefs extinguished the fire quickly, and no structures were threatened, Ramos told Patch.
At 4:55 p.m., Pleasanton police sent a Nixle notification that park was reopened. The fire caused a great deal of debris, requiring a large cleanup operation, she said.
