Residential Fire Near Stoneridge Drive Contained: LPFD

The fire started on a fence and spread to a single-family home near Stoneridge Drive and Val Vista Park.

PLEASANTON, CA — Crews have contained a fence fire that burned on the 6400 block of Alvord Way, a residential neighborhood just south of Stoneridge Drive, according to the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.

The fire was first reported at 3:31 p.m. Thursday, according to LPFD spokesperson Rosa Ramos. The fire spread from an outside fence onto the roof and attic, according to LPFD Battalion Chief Kurtis Dickey. Photos from the fire department show a badly-damaged garage roof and wall.

Crews from LPFD and Alameda County Fire contained the fire at 3:54 p.m., and remain on-site for cleanup as of 4:55, according to Ramos and Dickey.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
