May Day Protest Planned In Pleasanton
The May Day event is the latest of many anti-Trump rallies across the Tri-Valley.

PLEASANTON, CA — Protesters plan to gather in Pleasanton Thursday for a May Day rally, one of many planned across the Bay Area and over 1000 across the countries. The rallies are using International Workers' Day to protest the Trump administration.
"Since our first rally on Presidents Day, we’ve been standing against the unlawful Musk/DOGE coup to dismantle our government," said event organizer Julie Elfin. "By hosting a food drive alongside our rally, we stand in solidarity with those hit hardest by USDA food aid cuts and shine a light on the systemic change we urgently need."
Anti-Trump rallies have also been held in Dublin, Livermore, and San Ramon since he took office. Over 160 grassroots organizations across the country created a coalition called May Day Strong, which is organizing over 50 protests in the Bay Area, including in Napa, San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley.
