Local police officers, firefighters, and leaders stopped by numerous community events Tuesday night.
PLEASANTON, CA - The Pleasanton community showed up in droves for National Night Out, a national celebration of community support for local law enforcement. Local leaders, police officers and firefighters stopped by over 40 block parties, potlucks, pizza parties, and barbecues to meet with the people they serve.
"Tonight, the Pleasanton Police Department proudly celebrated National Night Out with over 40 block parties throughout the city," the Pleasanton Police Department wrote on social media. "We had the privilege of visiting a record number of neighborhoods, each exuding exceptional warmth and enthusiasm. This cherished annual event provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect with their local police officers, receive valuable safety tips, and discuss important community safety issues.
"Whether your celebration featured root beer floats, potlucks, or pizza, it was an absolute joy to share in the festivities with you. We extend our heartfelt thanks for being such extraordinary hosts and we look forward to seeing you again next year."
