PLEASANTON, CA — Plato's Closet, a clothing store specializing in gently-used clothing and accessories for teens and young adults, is reopening Thursday after closing in October, according to a news release.

The location on 4555 Hopyard Road is being reopened by Marcie Webster, a local entrepreneur who has successfully revitalized a number of recently sold Plato's Closet locations in Pacifica, San Mateo, San Jose and Monterey. Webster said that the Pleasanton store will be focused on keeping clothing out of landfills, and empowering employees with the skills they need to build successful careers.

“Pleasanton’s Plato’s Closet officially closed its doors in October, and I’m happy to be bringing it back,” she said in a statement. “It’s important to provide the community with a sustainable shopping option, and I’m excited to reopen and bring back such a great asset to the community.”
