Pleasanton 9/11 Ceremonies: Where To Honor Victims

Remembrance events will be held throughout Tri-Valley. Here's how you can pay your respects.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department will host brief remembrance events at its five Pleasanton fire stations on the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.

Memorial events will begin at 9:45 a.m. Saturday and include a moment of silence, broadcast from the dispatch center and lowering of the flag to half-mast, the fire department said. Local leaders and firefighters will be among those in attendance to pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11.

Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert will also host a 9/11 event at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, which will feature local speakers and performers.
