Pleasanton Costco Opening The Day Before Thanksgiving: Reports
The long-awaited Costco will feature 16,000 square feet of warehouse space and a large gas station.

PLEASANTON, CA — After a long and winding road, Costco will finally open a 16,000-square-foot warehouse at 7200 Johnson Drive in Pleasanton the day before Thanksgiving, according to reports. The new location, located near the Stoneridge Shopping Center near the 580/680 interchange, will be the Tri-Valley's third Costco, joining the stores in Livermore and Danville.
The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce will commemorate the opening on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 7:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to NewsBreak. After that, guests will likely wait in long lines to shop on one of the busiest days of the year.
The warehouse will also feature a gas station with 15 double-sided fuel pumps, and 768 parking stalls, according to a report in Pleasanton Weekly. It will be open until 8:30 p.m. its first day, then closed on Thanksgiving, then open 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.

“We’re excited to bring a business that the community has long supported and anticipated,” Pleasanton City Manager Gerry Beaudin told Pleasanton Weekly. “The new Costco will not only boost our sales tax revenue, but it has also provided necessary roadway improvements in the area. These upgrades are especially valuable with the increased traffic expected from Costco’s opening.”
