Pleasanton Donut Shop Named Among Best In Bay Area: Mercury News

See which innovative Pleasanton shop was recently rated one of the 12 best in the region.

PLEASANTON, CA — Looks like mochi and donuts are a match made in heaven. Mochiholic, a Pleasanton dessert shop that mixes colorful donuts with the increasingly popular Japanese ice cream, was named as one of The Mercury News’ “12 Fantastic Bay Area Doughnut Shops That Will Knock Your Socks Off.”

The restaurant opened at 4233 Rosewood Drive in Pleasanton in 2021 after a successful online business. It makes chewy donuts out of rice flour, then sweetens it with flavors like strawberry, matcha, chocolate oreo, black sesame, and cinnamon sugar, plus a changing seasonal menu. According to the Mochiholic website, mochi donuts contain about half the calories of a traditional flour donut.

The restaurant also offers a variety of teas and coffees, including bubble teas, matcha tea and lattes, fruit teas, smoothies, and crème brûlée teas. The restaurant is currently accepting franchise applications. Visit mochiholic.com for more information.
