Pleasanton Drain Device To Capture Trash From 92 Acres

Trash and other pollutants will be trapped in the storm drain before reaching the Arroyo Del Valle, according to the city.

PLEASANTON, CA — A trash capture device recently installed in Pleasanton will capture trash from a 92-acre service area and prevent it from flowing into Arroyo Del Valle.

The city announced it partnered with Caltrans to install the 60-inch device from Bio Clean, which can trap trash, oil, grease and other pollutants.

Arroyo Del Valle flows into Lake Del Valle near Livermore.

"The device will help to keep our waterways clean and reduce the trash deposited into the San Francisco Bay," the city wrote.
