Pleasanton Man Tells Police He Killed His Mother, Arrested: PPD
Malcolm Tilley arrived at the station to tell police he had killed his mother, and was arrested on suspicion of murder.
PLEASANTON, CA — A 31-year-old man was arrested after telling Pleasanton police that he had killed his 71-year-old mother following a dispute, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
Police said that Malcolm Tilley showed up to the station Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. to turn himself in, and was booked into jail that afternoon. Police searched his home on Alvarado Street, where they reportedly found a woman dead from multiple stab wounds. Police also found several kitchen knives at the residence.
Tilley is being held at Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of homicide, according to PPD. According to a report from the Bay Area News Group, no charges have been filed as of Wednesday. Police said they do not have any prior records related to that residence.
