Pleasanton Police Address Recent Catalytic Converter Thefts

Here are some ways to avoid becoming a victim of a catalytic converter theft, according to police.

PLEASANTON, CA — Multiple catalytic converter thefts have occurred lately in Pleasanton, police said.

"It can take less than 3 minutes to steal this part and it's pricey to replace," the Pleasanton Police Department said on Facebook. "Unfortunately, many victims don't realize their catalytic converter has been stolen until it's too late."

Police encouraged the public to park inside secured garages or, if that is not possible, a well-lit area.
